Where we are now and a look into the future...

You may wonder what we have been up to lately and/or where we are in the IMB application process. If not, that's okay - I'll tell you anyway... Right now, we are just waiting for a phone call on Monday, February 16. On that day, our candidate consultant from the IMB will present us to the IMB Board of Trustees and personally give us a call afterwards to tell us if we have been accepted or not. If we have been accepted/approved for appointment then our next step will be to go to Greenville, South Carolina for a Appointment Week, March 14th-20th. This is another week of informational meetings that will culminate with the actual Apointment Service on Wednesday, March 18th. So, while we are all waiting I thought that I would show you a few more pictures of Lukulu and Zambia...

Scripture Memory Challenge

Updo by Shari Warren
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 1 Peter 3:3-4
Join me and about 3000 other women who have taken up Beth Moore's challenge to memorize 24 Scriptures in the year 2009.

A Day in My Life

As I sat down to read my Bible yesterday, I heard the distinct clink of the toilet seat being put up. As I didn't know where Levi was at that time, I quickly got up to see what he was up to. He wasn't in the Guest bathroom so I hurried to the Master bathroom and there he was - cup full of potty water in his hand, soaking wet as he was getting ready to take a big drink. I grabbed the cup, hoping that he hadn't already taken a drink. Who knows? So goes a day in my life with my 21 month old. How about yours?

A New Beginning for 2009

I follow Beth Moore's blog at Living Proof Ministries . For the New Year, she has challenged us to memorize Scripture with her. I took up this challenge because I am lacking in this area. It is just two Scriptures a month and I am really looking forward to diving into His Word. I also started in on my 'Read the Bible in One Year' Bible and am anticipating the joy of reading the Bible through once more. Won't you join me (and others) to memorize Scripture and read through the entire Bible this year of 2009?
