Manuscript Theology

We have just learned about something new. It has been coined 'Manuscript Theology' or in other words, copying the Bible. It's very easy. You get a good notebook, a pen and the Bible and start copying the Word of God. So far, I have copied the Book of James and now am copying Ephesians. This is a great way to slow down and really savor each inspired word of the Lord. One of our friends has already copied the whole New Testament.
It's so easy. Why don't YOU try it?

I LOVE this idea! I heard about a lady doing it over in Russia when I was in high school. She considered her manuscript holy & precious b/c she couldn't get her hands on a printed Bible.

In my personal life, I do this when I'm memorizing scripture. I write the whole chapter down on notebook paper then keep it in my bathroom so I can work on memorizing it while I'm doing my hair, putting my make-up on or taking a shower. My bathroom has become my "scripture closet." Powerful stuff no matter where you manage to hide it in your heart.

Oh wow! I have never heard of that. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to start. That would be something good to do before heading to China, since they don't allow you to bring in bibles.

We have been doing this as a part of our home group ministry here. We are currently on Luke 18 and it is a huge blessing.
